The house is located in Kirchtellinsfurt, near Stuttgart. Its design is influenced by the unique shape of the corner lot. The main structure, a “diamond cut” dark grey volume, is defined by local masterplan boundaries and features three smaller sub-units that accentuate each side, providing additional space. The house comprises three residential units, with the ground-floor apartment being barrier-free. The structural system combines concrete load-bearing walls with brick infill. The main facades are materialized with the ETICS facade system, while HPL cladding elements highlight the sub-units. The roof is executed in timber. Meeting KfW Standard 70 for energy efficiency, the house features extensive envelope insulation and includes a low-temperature floor heating system powered by an air-to-air heat pump. Proper sizing and placement of window areas eliminate the need for active cooling in the summer.
